Honey Prik'd Salmon

Sometimes teriyaki marinade just gets boring, and that's when I turn to this recipe to spruce up my salmon dish. A perfect blend of sweet and spicy, this salmon dish can be eaten a la carte or over some rice with veggies for a complete meal.

Honey Prik'd Salmon

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillet, skin on

  • 2 Tbsp Nam Prik Chili Sauce

  • 3 Tbsp water

  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 Tbsp honey

  • 1 clove minced garlic

  • Oil for pan frying

Salmon plate

Instructions

  1. Combine garlic, soy sauce, honey, water, and Nam Prik Chili Sauce in a large bowl.

  2. Add in salmon fillets to marinate. Cover and refrigerate for an hour.
  3. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add cooking oil.
  4. Cook salmon for 5 minutes on each side, or until done.
  5. Serve over rice with vegetables for a complete meal.

**I like using a cast iron pan to cook the salmon because it makes the skin extra crispy and the pan distributes heat very well. However, any ol' pan will make this dish just as delicious.
